Shred the Patriarchy

Freitag, 30. September, gibt es ein Charity Event in unserer Cool Runnings Bar. „Shred The Patriarchy“ ist ein Projekt das die Geschichten von marokkanischen Frauen erzählt, die der Unterdrückung und Diskriminierung in ihrem Land durch Skateboard Fahren und Projekte rund um das Skaten begegnen. Diese Frauen brechen die unausgesprochenen Regeln, dass Frauen nach wie vor nicht alles tun und lassen dürfen was sie möchten und erheben damit das Skaten zu einer Form des Widerstandes gegen das Patriarchat in Marokko.

Shred the Patriarchy

On Friday 30th September there will be a charity event at our Cool Runnings Bar. Shred The Patriarchy is a project that tells the stories of Moroccan women who face oppression and discrimination in their country through skateboarding and skateboarding related projects. These women are breaking the unspoken rules that women are still not allowed to do whatever they want, and elevating skating to a form of resistance to patriarchy in Morocco.
